San Pedro the Healer

Ahhh.  you found your way to this page.
Welcome.

And if you wanted to find us physically you would head to the southern region of  South Africa in a small village which goes by the name of McGregor.  Known by several titles:  the village which time forgot, the valley of wine and roses, and the village with no thoroughfare.   I love all aspects but the most enduring is the fact that you can't land here by happenstance on your way from elsewhere, it requires a deliberate choice as there is no point beyond.  With that in mind , although very much inland it does lend itself to an island mentality and lifestyle.

Have lived here for 23 years and raised 4 children , mostly unschooled with one going on to self motivated academic excellence.
Several years ago, Tao the eldest discovered some San Pedro plants being cleared from a property.
They were planted in the garden and as a result we have a most impressive array of the sacred cactus standing proudly ....

As this area is semi desert one really seeks plants that don't need maintenance, water and good soil.
This plant is so forgiving in its treatment and thrives regardless of any arising conditions.
They stand like sentries in the garden, at every entrance they offer their protection.

This blog is a sharing of San Pedro and how it healed us individually and as a family.

So once again welcome....
